This is a superb example of Sauvignon Blanc from Nelson with gentle aromas of bell pepper and gooseberry with hints of passionfruit and a wonderful minerality that carries right through to the end and beyond. A delicious wine. Picture a hillside and gentle rolling slope with views out to the Tasman Sea and behind the Tasman Bay National Park with its snow capped mountains, a blue sky and sheep gently grazing in the adjoining field and you have the Redwood Valley vineyard, truly idyllic.
Quite rare to find a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine from New Zealand. This wine has a deep colour with aromas of blackcurrant and tomato vine with a full, rich palate. The tannins are well integrated and the oak is not dominant.
This is a firm favourite amongst lovers of chardonnay.
